About Luxview.

A Texas story, since 2003.

Our story began in Plano, Texas, in 2003, when a Texas Instruments electrical engineer joined forces with his father and a small group of former colleagues. His father, a former shutter production technician, brought 15 years of shutter manufacturing experience. Together, they combined engineering precision with practical factory knowledge and a commitment to thoughtful design and careful craftsmanship. Their first project was a set of stained shutters for a fellow engineer, who was so pleased with the finished installation that he promised to recommend the product to everyone he met. That first order established a standard we still follow: understand the requirements, resolve the technical challenges, and get the details right from the start. Our founding engineer remains with Luxview today.

Shutters were our only product when we began, and we initially reached customers through direct sales. With the support of some dealers, we evolved into a wholesale manufacturer, focusing on making the best products possible and supplying established retailers near and far. In 2006, we acquired American Eagle Blinds in Garland, Texas, and relocated our headquarters there, expanding our range to give dealers the convenience of sourcing more products from one manufacturer. As customer preferences evolved, our blinds department transitioned into manufacturing roller shades, zebra shades, and ziptrack exterior shades for patios and other outdoor spaces. Today, our shutters, interior shades, and exterior shades help dealers meet a wide variety of customer needs, from traditional styles to contemporary designs and motorized options with remote control.

Precision at every step.

Engineering has guided our approach to manufacturing from the beginning. Careful analysis, precise calculations, and thorough planning before production are fundamental to how we work. We believe solving complex manufacturing challenges strengthens the expertise and discipline we bring to every product. Our shutter innovations include DFF and DFR door frames, the A adapter frame, the HDECO frame for outside mounting where window sill width is limited, specific deduction per frame per side, and our patented MAP shutter products. Our proprietary production software uses trigonometry to calculate radii and cutting angles for Eyebrow and ID Eyebrow shutters. It also generates production cut sheets for interior and exterior shades. From our earliest projects, we have introduced Leica digital laser measuring tools and recorded measurements in 1/16-inch increments on measurement and design sheets, so that deductions are accurate and realistic. For outdoor environments, we recommend green laser meters, such as those from Bosch, which are easier to see outdoors in bright light and well suited to exterior measurements.

These technical practices are part of a broader approach to consistent quality: carefully selected suppliers and components, suitable equipment, skilled people, and disciplined production planning. For dealers, that process begins with the information your team gathers during the first customer conversation. Preferences, product options, and precise measurements all shape the finished product, and those details must remain clear from consultation through production.
